Newsletter - Membership fee, 2023

Dear members,

Some of you already know it, here it is officially:

The more than 10-year history of Bioase has seen few increases in the membership fee. In October 2023, however, it was time: the regular fee has changed to €19 for the first person and then €13 for each additional household member who is over 14 years old. The social contribution is now €13 for the first person and then €10 for each additional household member. This applies to new members, NOT to those of you who are already members!

Despite the severe global crisis and the resulting price increases last year, we decided against increasing the contributions for existing members. We know that many of you have also been hit hard, and we would like to express our thanks to you for your many years of loyalty and support!

However, we do have one request in this regard: if it is financially possible for you to voluntarily increase your membership fee to an amount of your choice, we would be very happy to take on that offer! (Or in case you might have forgotten to let us know that your kids are 14 years old by now, now would be the right timing for that ;-) ) The increased fixed costs in all areas as well as a very dull decision by the tax office to increase the VAT on membership fees to 19% are putting additional pressure on us. On the other hand, please do let us know if you need to switch from the regular fee to the reduced fee! Also, of course many many thanks to those who are already paying a higher solidarity fee - we really appreciate it a lot!!
